The latest Titleist 712 AP1 Irons represent another step forward in iron design, says Titleist general manager, Steve Pelisek, and are already in the hands of leading players on the PGA Tour including Nick Watney, Matteo Manassero and US PGA Championship runner-up Jason Duffner.
“With the development of the first AP irons in 2007, we created irons that incorporated a blend of classic golf club aesthetics with modern playability, forgiveness and consistency.  With the new 712 line we've taken this breakthrough technology to a new, game-changing level by increasing the stability and forgiveness without losing any workability or shot control," says Pelisek ?
In terms of looks, the latest AP1 irons, aimed at 'the aspiring to skilled golfer' feature a new top line shape and progressively reduced blade lengths in the more traditional-looking short irons. It incorporate Titleist's Tuned Feel System, a soft elastomer insert and aluminum plate, designed to improve sound and feel. ?
The new  AP1 irons deliver an industry leading combination of performance, looks and feel. They feature our most advanced multi-material designs which deliver superior distance control through increased moment-of-inertia (MOI) which also provides outstanding solid feel. In addition we have made appearance improvements to both sets.
The Titleist Irons is perfect complement to the Titleist 712 AP1 Irons which combine longer distance technologies with extra forgiveness and higher trajectories. The "Hot Metal" incorporates a new manufacturing process for a thinner, more uniform iron face which allows you to maximise the distance you hit while super game improvement concept gives you maximum forgiveness and ease of launch throughout the whole set. These features make this discount golf clubs model a fantastic game improvement iron.
The harmonic impact technology has developed from research into vibrations, sound and feel (modal analysis), Mizuno R&D specified the frequencies required to create pure feedback and also the techniques by which to deliver them. An exotic pocket cavity with multiple thickness levels and an external power bar add the highest measurable levels of forgiveness (MOI) achieved in a Mizuno iron to date.
The 'Balanced Performance' is the result of a project to create an iron with strengths in a number of key criteria (feel, control, forgiveness, distance, profile) without one compromising another and the extra wide C-Grind sole of the JPX-800HD irons has been specially designed to minimise turf drag and digging through impact. In turn this means you will achieve a higher launch angle while keeping the maximum amount of playability you desire.
